You mean........"The Great One of CNN!" That's his formal title. LOL. Wink

David Jessel is actually growing on me. Never really used to like him, but he clearly knows what he's on about.

Well, he has been in journalism and the BBC for years so I would hope he would!

Gowing is in Belgrade to cover the Milosevic funeral.

Another point, for those of yolu interested, it's now ten years since Mike Embley started presenting on BBC World News. Albeit his early stints were infrequent and as relief cover, and then he did go back to regional and News 24 for a while, it now makes Mike one of the longest serving faces on BBC World News, in certain respects. Only Nik Gowing and Nisha Pillai come close.

However, if my records are correct and my memory also serves me correctly, I think the only current anchor who has been involved with World for longer than 10 years is...........Miss Lindsey Brancher!

According to the BBC World homepage Lucy Hockings was made the presenter of The World Today.
But for the last three/four weeks there's been no sign of her at all (at any time of the day).
Does anyone knowif she's going resume presenting soon,
or if she's working behind the scenes as a producer?

Peter Dobbie was there when it wasn't even BBC World, rather BBC World Service Television.
