At first I was quite neutral towards Ben Brown as a presenter, but I have to say that during his last few apperances on BBC World he showed quite an impressive presentation style and also today, for the little bit of coverage of the breaking news from The Hague, I think he dealt with the extended coverage quite well.

Yes they have, I'm pretty sure
So you don't know then.
Obviously I cannot be 100% sure, but presumably if the opts are now clean for Asia, then all the opts must be taking place at Red Bee, I think it was one of the insiders who has already said this.

The Asia Pacific feeds are definitely now coming from the BBC World playout suite at the Broadcast Centre.

Indeed they are. This means that there is now a permanent incoming circuit between Singapore and London, so expect to see a lot more live contributions from Singapore, particularly on WBR.

What is this: a white ticker with thin, black letters? And the beam on the left (under the red BBC World logo) is black with white letters...
Will this be permanent? Because it seems like there is just some technical problem. Well, I was thinking that when the new CNN International look was introduced a couple of weeks ago. Has the ticker change on BBC World perhaps anything to do with CNN's new style?

I note that the white ticker only appears on the overnight simulcast with N24. BBC World is still having the usual pale blue one.

Ben Brown proved to be an excellent anchor during yesterday.s Breaking News segments. He handled the several hours of rolling coverage sublimely.

For the benefit of those who've not been following the News 24 thread or aren't in the UK - News 24 has tweaked one or two parts of their presentation, including the headline slug (now a thinner weight of font), and the ticker (black and white).
Not all of the changes have made it across to BBC World, which is why things change for the few hours of the simulcasts.
