Yes you do, thanks to them. It's always good to know things before they're going to happen.

It DOES look bad doesn't it, it doesn't look like a CSO to me Adrian is clearly in front of a projection screen my guess is that its the BBC National News Studio as they did during the N24 Re-vamp last year. This is good news for BBC World it'll be nice to see a change in their newsroom/studio.

No, it is not the National studio. Last time they were in N6 the background was brighter than the normally and many of the forum members said that it was even looking better than the normal one.

Interesting, they're in the normal BBC World studio. They just showed a wide shot at the beginning of the programme.
So is the problem just poor background lighting?

Anyone see that mocked up Wide Shot at the start of the 0900GMT programme, was it a still? Also is World News going to be just short editions this weekend?

Was it a mock?
They won't do just news summaries. The 1100 BST bulletin will be a longer one.

Yeah it definatly was either a mock or a pre-recorded image from a previous day, that would take way to long to recorded all the weekends presenters so I guess its a mock up kind of like the mock up BBC National News did the weekend before they went in their new studio a while back. I am 100% that they aren't in the normal World studio as that background is a projection.

Oh that background image is so poor. Looks like they've turned off all the lights in the newsroom.
Last time they were in a CSO when News 24 relaunched you couldn't realise at all that it was a CSO.

not the first few days they were in that studio for. Mind you N24 were in a CSO for months, I don't expect World to be in it for quite that long.

It's the set of The World/Sport Today. Adrian has an interview guest at the moment and they showed a wide shot of the studio.

They're broadcasting from the 'The World' studio with the newsroom projected on the background.

So there will be a whole new, different studio or is that a dumb question asked many times before?

My understanding was that 'The World / Sport Today' set was in the same studio area as BBC World News / The World Today so if there is stuff going on wouldn't it be a little noisey. This surley means that its not major changes its just desk, lighting changes? On the other hand could it be a more long term thing and this is just the start of a long period of temp studios and sets as in the News 24 re-vamp last year?

Perhaps they are ripping out the old set, and will fit it in the periods when BBC World isn't broadcasting.
