I tuned in to see TOTH there just now and the countdown had already started but was at 53. It seems to be perfectly in sync now. Hopefully this will happen again! I wonder if they showed the whole lot. Perhaps someone else saw it as well.
Yep, they fixed the problem. At last. Yet, basically the countdown's still crap...
I don't think the countdown is in sync yet. Wel it doesnt look it to me, but its not s much out of sync as it used to be.

That's right, yesterday evening it was ok, today it's still out of synch... terrible mess...
Being in the UK, it isn't often I get to see BBC World, but having caught half an hour or so the other day, I was quite impressed. Asia Today looks quite smart, nice colours for the astons. I caught a lengthly breakfiller, they are a nice touch, I particuarly like the 'Coming Up' inserts and the 'On this day in history' facts. I also like the new breakfiller music, although I will miss the old music when I am abroad! The countdown I saw also looked to be more or less in sync.
Incidentally, I had an interview for a contract to work on a BBC World programme recently, so may get to see a lot more of BBC World this year...

Theres a website on the net that allows you to watch it live...dont know url though but the link cn be found in the cnnfan.com under other news networks..the quality is a bit poor but better than nothing.
The titles are pretty poor anyway, they are the basic BBC Generic ones with a "BBC World" logo faded on (not in time with the music) a la The World Today.
Unfortunate losing of voice by Dharshini just now on WBR - good job it was at the end of the broadcast..
I love her.
Well, she sounded dog rough ending the programme!!!
Anyway, can someone answer the following questions for me, please?
1. Why on 'The World' is the DOG clear? It comes from a BBC World studio so I thought the DOG would be put on by the gallery?
Because if it was put on by the gallery it would also appear on BBC4. Also the red would clash with the green of the astons

2. Without wanting to look through hundreds of pages but why do the titles say 'BBC WORLD', BBC NEWS?
An error with the programming of TOG. This has not been sorted as the BBC are in dispute with the TOG programmers and the system is not currently supported.

3. Why do BBC News bulletins now not end with titles?
Because the channel doesn't end. The last thing the editors want to do is give the viewer an excuse to turn off.
The titles should never have been touched. They should have been left as they were in December 2003 with the exception of increasing the frame speed like News 24 did in February 2004. Every BBC NEWS logo on the channel has BBC WORLD at the bottom but the titles have it on top. Its daft. They should have been left orange as well. No other BBC NEWS from BBC WORLD logo is red on the channel. I know the News 24 titles are red and thats why they changed but they could have kept orange for BBC World and red for BBC News 24.
Then you have the problem of the red titles overnight on News 24 but so what? The studio is completely different so why would red titles instead of orange really matter? Two separate colours for each of the channels is a better idea IMO.
