Anyone else know what David Eades' name according to BBC WORLD???

Well its "PRESENTER" .... In other words, his name strap said "Presenter"
Who ever controls this, is an idiot. He (she or they) must think there job is a joke.

Oh and David, you diary pages are blowing around lol!

Why? For all you know there might have been a computer fault, meaning they can't access the astons. It's happened a few times before with 5 "Do not touch" on the main astons. Remember, it's not always the workman!

OK, then explain the camera operator who must be tired then!

Just before when David changed cameras, the camera changed about 4 secons later, and when he crossed to business eith Aaron, the camera was just on David and Aaron was making comments as to why the camrea wasnt on him!

And also in this half hour they opted out late then came back in to early! ... Seems a bit lazy to me. Rolling Eyes

There is no camera operator. The director operates cameras as well as vision mixing, counting to opts, running the playout system and directing the programme.

The presenter aston is automatic, but does depend on the journalist putting the details into the relevent page of the script.

Have you ever sat in the BBC World gallery? I have. And I can tell you that those "lazy assholes" you speak of are dedicated, hard-working people. During daytime hours, the whole operation is in the hands of a total of 3 or 4 people. At night, it's only 2. The director has an immense amount of work to do and believe me, it gets very tense in the gallery at times. I think you should get some first-hand experience before you go about accusing people of being "lazy assholes".

There's a lot of roles the director is taking on there, the poor guys must be absolutely shattered when they go home.

Im not the only person that has ever complained about the people working in the gallery as being lazy, i thought BBC World had got so much better over the past couple of months, and 1 bulletin yesterday would of put me off for good.

I've been to a TV Gallery before, not BBC World's. this had 7 people working in there at the time, and I can tell you that they were dedicated and hard working, yet nothing on air was going wrong.

Mistakes were rare once on BBC World, now its an everyday thing. And anyway, im just saying what I think so you don't all need to get your knickers in a twist.

I don't know how much you know about directing for TV, but those guys and girls are under all kinds of pressure. Normally, they have vision mixers, assistant directors, camera operators, sound mixers etc - on World they do it all themselves, and have to stick to timekeeping, and have to meet targets, and have to maintain constant communication with the presenter.

Errors are bound to occur from time to time - it's human nature.
