My dear Matrix.

You are only making wild assumptions that I am a boy !!!! Joking aside, I wouldn't mind having Anita back on World........replacing the woeful Kirsty Lang, who was on last night.

Goodness, she is tiresome. She is better off over on Radio 4.

Yeap and yeap!

Kirsty is truly tiresome and frankly bland. I've never seen her actually manage to engage me on "The World" although the programme took a nose dive after Geogre left, but I also wouldn't put her on R4 (Namly as I quite like PM and that thing with Lawson). Maybe she should consider what a certain N24 Presenter's been upto and move back out to regional... *water hisses*

I trust I shall be duely rewarded James...

Conversely, I actually think that Rico is very good (agree with the nasal comments though), and he and Manish make a good team. Last nights WBR from New York and London was good. The sign off at the end was a bit bizarre though - did they both mean to give a thumbs up to camera on air???

Anyway, Manisha has made this programme watchable again, along with Rico's contribution. Tanya had become a bit stale, surprisingly. She used to be one of my all time favourites. Alas........

James

Yes, that goodbye was very odd. Manisha is spectacular in NY.

I think Tanya Beckett is pregnant, hence the slight heftiness someone mentioned.

Why is it the female anchors get scrutinized for that sort of thing? I think Rico needs to lose a stone, but no one else would think that about a male anchor. Sorry, am just not a fan, and I know at least a dozen other people who can't bear watching him.

Mishal Hussein, Anita Mcnaught and Adrian Finnigan are favourites of mine.

Why do bulletins end twice, at .26 and at .26:15? Which users opt out fifteen seconds earlier than the others?

It was very good to see Alistair doing TWT and the other 2 bulletins after it.
He is much better than David Eades, and the way the sport was given to us from Adnan was also good as both Alistair and Adnan went more indepth to give it to us!

After the pause they would mention whats the next programme coming up right? I guess maybe the US? But it seems that every bulletin are done that way. Weird

i beleive it's the Asia feed which takes the later opt. I seem to remember a reminder of the headlines and whats coming up before the presenter then saying "But here in Asia" or words to that effect.

Natural human interest, I guess.

I'm new, so I don't know if it's ok to mention weather forecasters, but I think Jo Farrow looks larger than usual.

One of my favorties is Anya Sitaram.

Of course it is, dear boy.

Welcome to the forum - and with that list of favourites you'll settle in nicely.

Well, I'm in Europe and I take the later opt out as well.
This double opt out means a lot of rimenders of the bbcnews website which in my opinion are completely unnecessary.
