Most likely due the changes ahead.
I hope it's quick, the aerial shot looks weird, although not as weird whilst they were building the BBC Four set, then they had the camera really far away!

I watched on Tuesday, noticed there was a huge light blocking the aerial shot very weird, it just makes BBC World look so cheap, with News 24 you get a moving aerial shot!

I have the feeling this topic is like a dejavu, going around the same issues over and over again; yes, the studio looks dark, needs improvement, etc. We all know that ;in addition, we now know that the newsroom will have some cosmetic changes in the following weeks perhaps?, so I will suggest you all (specially Mr.Harsy) to wait and see what will happen with the studio.

Indeed I suggest you have a of bit of patience. World will be looking a bit different over the next few weeks. And you won't have to suffer that opening shot for much longer.

For the first time ever, I (dimwit) have just realised that the theme music on TWT is different from the other BBC World bulletins.
I heard it in particular this morning when David Jessel (the 3rd anchor to appear in so many days) was recapping the Yasser Arafat situation.
It's quite a good theme with lots of drums in the background, also played when the headlines are being read out.
Wish the other mainline BBCW bulletins will adopt this format.
Also, I hear whispers of a certain Mr. Witchell shortly getting behind the BBC World news desk as an anchor on TWT when it is re-launched later, with Nisha Pillai going to the The World and Kirsty Lang coming into BBC World News. Is anyone able to verify this?
Also, whispers that Geet Guru-Murthy and Zeinab Badawi will have more prominent roles on BBC World broadcasting.
Someone please comment.
