What's wrong with World's studio cameras this morning? Some are very blurred and the colours look different in each of them! Is that what they call camera "drifting"?

not noticed myself but there's been a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on this weekend in preparation for the changes

I thought that might be the case, on the wide shot on TWT there was a big light with the barn doors open blocking much of the shot. I'm guessing the changes will take effect next Monday 1st?

Changes? What kind of changes? I'd take BBC World a lot more seriously if they introduce a new studio as it looks so poor compared to News 24.

We all know BBC World is suffering from financial losses since its beginning, but that poverty remains just too visible having such an outdated studio. I mean, every newsroom from the BBC has been changed lately, except for the national news. However, that's not irritating because BBC One's bulletines air only three times a day.

Keep watching, although not for a little while as yet.

I don't agree with comments like "if the set looked better I'd take the programme a lot more seriously". BBC World News' journalism is first class some fantastic reporting and excellent coverage from places all around the world. I am the biggest fan of a programmes on-screen look being updated especially the studio but I find it very hard to see how the current BBC World set means the programme could be taken less seriously than BBC News 24 or any other BBC News production.

Some real mixtures on TWT this week - we had Cruella along with Jamie on one day. Then Cruella and Sally the next day. Then Martine and Sally today......what tomorrow!!!!

By the way, I actually do like Anita McNaught. She seems much more relaxed on TWT when she has another presenter alongside to banter with, rather than solo solemnity on the Weekend shift!

There was some nice and unplanned friendly banter between Martine and Sally today. I don't actually think we were supposed to hear it, but we did. Something like "no, I will go first then you next................"

Martine also called Sally "Sal" during one of the handovers today. Nice relaxed touch.

I have also noticed that when Anita is reading the news, she has a newspaper always spread out in front of her across the desk, as though she reads snatches between her pieces to camera. Martine had one today as well, but folded away.

Lyse always seems to have a thick black diary style book at the desk with her, as if she is taking notes about something whilst she is presenting.

We BBC World viewers are really eagle eyed, you know..............

Not really sure what's going on to be honest, David Eades did one day last week then vanished, Sally's days seem to be a little messed around too. I originaly thought at the start of the week that they were giving Sal and Dave a week off because next Monday was a revamp, though I guess it actually isn't.

Anita drives me nuts, she is so bad and would be far better on the radio. She does seem to mess up a lot and also looks at the wrong cameras and her delivery is slow and very cold. Anita has none if little banter with the co-presenters and seems really out of touch with the pace of the show (in the case of TWT).

An example of how dull she is, is the goodbye script which must have a generic; "...And I'm XXXX XXXX You've been watching The World Today". All the other presenters add after that either thanks for watching, see you soon, we'll see you again etc, etc - with the ice queen it seems that if its not scripted she doesn't say it. One final gripe it seems she couldn't even be bothered to read the :45 headlines yesterday Sally did it all rather than her trademark "You get a break from business now for the news with XXXX". Although there must be a fair explanation for this.

Sorry I know some of you are fans but she really shouldn't be doing that programme - leave it to the professionals. (David E, Adrian, Martine, Lindey)

Well, off course BBC World News' journalism is first class, but the way it's packed doesn't do it any good.

That's right but it really isn't that bad and I still fail to see how one could take it any more seriously if they got a new desk and some bigger plasmas.
