And same again in the last five minutes. i think we can assume that its a new thing. Also, they've stopped using the Headline strap for the summary and use a wipe transition instead.
I suspose this is the most relevent thread to lob this question in to.
Where is the camera situated for the New York live backdrop.?
Using my knowledge of the city, it looks like somewhere down around 9th Ave, and looking at the angle and the buildings you can see at a guess I'd say its atop the 13WNET building down on 33rd St?

Well done, you win the prize. A night out with Tanya Beckett.
The Business unit is now based in the offices of Channel 13 and use one of it's studios for WBR.

The changes have been made so the 1 minute summarys can be accessed by mobile phone users. The service is so far only available in Australia, via Telstar

That's a good idea. I hope it becomes available in more countries. That would also explain why they now mention the website again at the end of the summary.
When were the titles changed to say BBC WORLD instead of BBC NEWS?
A few months ago, but only the TOG rendered titles, the pre rendered ones still say BBC NEWS from BBC WORLD
The mind boggles.
Thinking about it, "BBC WORLD" on top actually DOES make sense. I mean: overnight, both BBC One and BBC World show BBC News at the bottom in the generic titles. And on News 24, the "24" is on top and "BBC NEWS" at the bottom.
Although, that doesn't justify all those graphical mistakes that viewers currently have to digest.
Did anybody ever notice that, more often now than before, the titles are sometimes out of sync by about a second or two. Any time this happens, the flying text always says BBC NEWS or in N24's case, BBC NEWS 24 with the proper BBC logo and font. I've seen this happen twice today on both world and N24. Its like as if the TOG generator automatically switches to the bbc news (24) logo when its out of sync.

Yes, I've noticed the same thing. Always out of sync by a good 25 frames whenever the spinning text has the BBC logo in it. (not applicable when the text just says 'News 24'
