It does not seem to be a new way of updating viewers with the latest news in terms of how the stock markets are fairing throughout the day, but simply a way to keep them posted on the impact the current mess in German politics has on the german stock index. In fact it is only the DAX that is shown this way.

I wouldn't go as far as calling her a ****, but I have to agree, I just cannot warm at all to Kirsty's style of presenting. I find it a bit monotonous. (sp)

Something terrific happened yesterday evening...
Mike Embley was about to put his first question to a Hungarian politician when suddenly the fake background of the studio (I don't know which studio, perhaps one in Hungary...) went crazy, a complete mess behind the poor man. They immediately showed pictures of Merkel and Schröder and while the politician was answering the second question we clearly heard Mike Embley saying "We have to see the guy, what the..." but then he suddenly realized that "the guy" had stopped talking so he put his third question to the man.
At the end of the interview he apologised for the trouble with the "satellite connection"...

So when can one expect her to be back on business?
In terms of Kirsty Lang, I saw her at 1525 CET saying: "Next it's News Extra, that excepts viewers in Asia Pacific who will be watching...er...something else". Told you she goes funny sometimes!!
