It was live, although the LIVE bug didn't appear. I was watching the exact same broadcast at the same time on CNNI and Sky.
Last night, here in the Middle East, someone forgot to switch off the transparent DOG after Middle East Business Report, and it remained on screen all the way through the break and even into the next bulletin presented by Lucy, so we had two dogs at the same time - one clear and the usual red one. I though I was concussed with double vision, but it was, alas, a gallery faux pas!
Has anyone watched the Children of Beslan documentary on BBC World. Horrifyingly touching. Well made documentary.
And................over the weekend, I saw a 47 second countdown, and also a 3 second countdown. Our opt ins down here are still hideously bad guys. I hope in Europe and wherever else, your getting something a bit tidier.
Cheers,
James

Some times here in Asia Pacific after the Asia Business Reports the non transperant dog (so it looks) and its not he tower, remains on screen for a couple of seconds or a long time.
Children of Beslan looked very good although I missed it and was actually looking foward to seeing it, but I was an hour late and the other times I could not watch.

Actually it was a tape feed from APTN. All networks took the feed to air, as it was being fed. The fact it was a tape feed was evident when it spooled backwards at the end!

Why alas. Would you prefer to be concussed?

Why not feedback your comments via the BBC World site. No one in London sees the Asia feed. The more complaints the Management get the more likely they are to try to do something about it.

I can actually see the local BBC World office from my office window!! Do you think I should pop over with a few suggestions??? Maybe coffee with Shanaz Pakravan or Nima Abu-Wardeh.
Now there's a thought...........
By the way, I didn't mean that I preferred concussion. The word "alas" was probably misplaced in my previous post.
Didn't see the tape winding back on that Bush speech. Sorry if I got it wrong.

Has anyone watched the Children of Beslan documentary on BBC World. Horrifyingly touching. Well made documentary.
Like bbcworld2005 I was looking forward to watching it but I eventually missed it twice. I wish it were to be aired again later in the year. I'm hopeful since some editions of Imagination, like the ones on hip-hop, Harry Potter and Bryn Terdel, were reshown lately.
On the other hand I saw that edition of This World on counterfeit drugs, which I think is the most horrifying documentary I've ever watched. Have you seen that Indian woman who was unscrupulously proposing to manufacture a fake version of a medicine with 80% less efficiency, to reduce costs, and wanted to replace the active ingredient by chalk? I heard this criminal industry had branches extending in Britain and France! I'll think twice before I take the medications I get prescribed from now on!

Yop, after the Maldives...
In terms of the New Zealand commercials, There's something I find annoying with the WOW presentation, which is that the lady on the screen never seems to look straight toward the camera. Looks like she wasn't capable of learning three sentences in a row.

Well the Maldives sponsership was pulled after most of the islands ended up underwater last boxing day.
