archiveTV, you sure its the 2200GMT bulletin you are referring to or the 23/2400 bulletins from Washington?

Well, whatever it is, thats really interesting news.

The 2200GMT is the 2300BST programme

Interesting also that BBC World often gets more viewers in the states than Newsnight does in the UK

Yet again some brilliant interaction from Adrian Finighan last night. But the regional opt-out shambles are really doing my head in!!!

It's abysmal how they just cannot get this right. I counted seven instances in one bulletin last night where the opt out and opt in's were either too early or too late, cutting the newscaster off mid flow.

Sigh............. Sad

No, no, I'm serious. She's got that touch I sometimes think an excellent presenter like Nick Gowing somehow lacks.

What do you reproach him with?
In my opinion he is skilled, experienced, as a newscaster he speaks in a clear and intelligible fashion and gives the impression he knows what he talks about. He knows how to bring a debate forward and does a superb job every time he chairs an edition of "The world debate" and "Dateline London". It seems to me he puts the right and incisive questions to his interviewees. A lack of humour sometimes makes him appear somewhat rigid but this put apart, he's one of the best.

right. It was a real pleasure watching him today. Over the last month or so he's been appearing increasingly relaxed behind the desk. He didn't used to enjoy himself like that. Did you see when he asked Myriam at the end of her business roudup whether she knew quotes by Shakespeare? And when she said he isn't quite a monster, he answered " she doesn't know me very well." Sad to see Kirsty replacing him right now.

Wauw, what a great Shakespearean one-on-one that was between Adrian Finighan and the business presenter at around 16:50 CET on Asia Today! Very Happy

He is just fabulous. I think he deserves similar branding to BIG MOIRA on her threads.

Let's also start a BIG ADRIAN campaign....... Laughing

lol, he went to do it with David aswell, but being boring, David went straight into sport. I find that David Brenner only seems to joke with and get along well with Nisha. But Adrian!! hes so funny.
