i just like to say that after watching BBC World for several years now, presenters like Alastair Yates and Katy Kay are to be commended for not being afraid to show their human side whilst maintaining a perfeclty professional approach. Their natural humaness sets them apart from the impersonality of the internet and other presenters, particulary in the current news environment.

I agree with you on the this but not so much with Katty Kay, I dont really like here as much, but she is a good presenter but there needs to be a change in washington.

Watch out for a change in the location of the Co-Pres over the next four weeks. Katty is on Holiday

Well watch out for a slight change in the location of the Co-Pres over the next four weeks

Do you mean within Washington or in a totally different city altogether?

So is Tanya filling in for Katty in New York? Is tanya still doing WBR there or is Dharshini still there?

A much needed change. Co-pres is getting rather stagnant. The bulletins in no way are dynamic or interesting - plus with the set of presenters in place, they dont even match up to the style of Adrian and Mishal.

I did see Kate Noble present the business segment from a different set, but she needs to drop her "mid-atlantic" accent Very Happy

I think he did,it would seem that more analytical based newsreading rather than rolling news suits his talents more.

I must say, I was impressed by Peter Sissons on The World tonight. He hasn't been that impressive since he hosted the Nine/Ten O'Clock News. Rolling news just doesn't suit him at all. After so many years of presenting a pre-planned, polished bulletin to suddenly being thrown into rolling news must have been really difficult for him. Perhaps he'd be a good permanent presenter of The World?

I think he would you know, giving him to a global audience could help BBC WORLD.
I know that sounds corny but having a regular, higher profile presenter on World could boost certain outputs and give the channel stronger identity, by giving it a regular face that viewers can get used to.
I have an even crazy idea, imagine him being a regular face of the TEN?!?!
