The headline music and closing sting is the only different music.

Plus there is an end title, or parter string or whatever...which is actually good.
Oh and on fridays afternoons overnight for me. Alistair was in world and for under a minute at the top of the hour, we saw the News 24 Dog then the World tog appeared. I remember once we saw the News 24 dog for about 16 minutes.
That is really disillusioning. Shocked

End title is the closing sting isnt it???? and can you please quote properly! its not that hard.

What the hell gives you the right to tell new posters what to do?

Other people might not be as obsessed with BBC World as you are , you know.

Ahh Pi*s off. I was just saying as I was confused when I was reading it. I was not telling him off. I was simply telling the NEW MEMBER that you can quote it properly. get over yourself. and who said i was 'obsessed'? you dont know me so bugger off. and what I was pointing out had nothing to do with BBC World.

Harshy

I agree that we can all get hot under the collar and passionate about what we are posting, but it doesn't mean that we should all start shouting and swearing and throwing tantrums! Martine Dennis will be having palpatations reading this........and we know that she does!!!!!!

By the way Harshy, I am heading your way next week if you fancy a beer. PM me.

BBCWorld2005 - calmeth ye down my friend and join Harshy and me for a beer!

One the "World" front, it was good to see Alastair Yates doing the evening shift again. I guess it will now be his forever at weekends. He is very much suited to BBC World News. I also saw Adrian on yesterday - but who was the thrid presenter yesterday?

They now have a new set of images to display in the plasma for business / sport / News Extra. Quite nice, indeed.

Interesting beginnning to BBC News just before. they cut off the countdown with about 4 seconds remaining then cut to a shot of the set on the camera they were perhaps going to use for the pan in off the set for the intro. we practically saw the ceiling above the presenters with all the lights etc and a bit more of he left hand side of us.

David and sally were sitting there then said hello im david eades and im sally bundock. David was unsure where to look but sally was smiling looking at the camera that it changed to. David said "This is BBC News from BBC World" looking at his papers.

Anyway I got to see the plasma shots for business and sport. I dont like them that much. Does anyone know what the graphic is supposed to be?

Likewise, don't like the new graphics too much either. No idea what they are supposed to be.

Does anyone know why there were two editons of The World last night, at 7pm and 8pm London time???? Both were shown on BBC World, and presented by Kirsty lang. Normally it's only at 8pm we get one edition of The World, shown on BBC World. Bizarre.

Well, there was a small change in the programme structure. Usually: 1900CET BBC NEWS then 1930CET WBR and 1945 Sport Today. But they are now an hour earlier. The World can be another change.

Re: The World - it happens every year - its because of BBC Four's coverage of the Proms so we have it at 7. I think in previous years though, that the earlier edition has only been shown on BBC Four and not on BBC World.

On this topic, expect to see Peter Sissons on The World again a couple of nights next week...

Sissons on The World?? Thta's great news. I really look forward to that. He is far more suited to a structured bulletin than rolling 24 stuff.

The World - proms comments noted. But why two editions on World last night then? Having one edition an hour earlier, I can understand. But two editions, espec when BBC4 is not showing the later one, is a bit strange.

Thanks for the info.
