WBR from 1st July was shown last night (0030 GMT, 0230 CEST), I suppose that unintentionally. Rolling Eyes

What do You think about the "This is BBC World. Putting news first" sentence at the end of the countdown?
To be honest, I strongly dislike it. The previous version without the voice was better.

I agree. Its not as if we need to be constantly reminded that we're watching BBC World. They say it enough on the channel already so I really don't think that addition to the countdown was necessary. It spoils the good music.

Why does not have the News an End title as it used to have? And what about the business and sports title in the bulletin?

That's what I had asked earlier in this topic. Has there been a reply since then??

How difficult is it to let the presenters know, which camera to turn at?
Saterday the plasmasreen went black so they turned quickly to an
other camera, but far too often the presenter starts talking towards
the wrong camera. The only reason Ican think of is miscommunication.

Ohh Yes! I saw that on Saturday. It was the News at 1100 CET with Lucy Hockings.
Earlier there were only few shots in the Newsroom. I saw many times that the presenter didn't know where to look. Maybe the director plays a tricky game with the presenters. Mad

Well it's not one presenter in perticular, and if so he's not making friends, judging by their angry stares in the (right) camera.

Maybe the presenter is not listening to the director

Correct Marcus.

Or he/she can't hear correctly the director as he/she speaks during the director's commands.

Even if the presenters don't listen to the director or they can't hear him, there must be someone behind the camera's who can point out which camera to turn at. Maybe better teamwork?

Watching an edition of WBR before and they crossed to New York where Darshini was there of course and her name happened to shoot up on an aston and I noticed it was Dharshini David it has an h! unlike the way most of us splet it without!..

And did anyone notice how lit up the main presenter was? It looked shocking on David Jessel but pretty good on Anya Sitaram and Nik Gowing. It did infact sometimes look like they were in CSO but were not!
