Also in N6 (the world, world business report and sport today set.)

Sorry to be a pedant, but N6 is the national news set. Is that set not just opposite the normal BBC World set in either N8 or N9 (not sure which one it is?)

Sorry to be even more of a pedant - but N6, N8 and N9 are studios, not sets... Studios may contain sets, but they aren't themselves sets.

Well I knew that, I was just letting people know what set it was as some people are not familiar with studio names!

No dear... <sigh> He wasn't asking if his statement made sense.

Hyma was trying to say that you shouldn't try to make a "witty retort" unless you can actually muster up the mental energy to construct a coherent sentence, as your post immediately prior to his was somewhat lacking in cogency and comprehensibility.

Enough of this chaps...........back to BBC World relevancy, please. You are making me dizzy.

Marcus - aside from the new set in NYC, and the shifting of the newscaster's chair on WBR and The Wold, what other changes have taken place this week? There is definitely something else that I can "feel" has changed, but cannot quite put my finger on what.

Seems that "Yatesie" is becoming more of a regular feature on weekend evenings now too. Good news. He is an excellent anchor IMO.

Also, is there any truth in the rumour that BBC World news may be reverting to double-headed presentation at certain points in the day?

Cheers,
James

Yeah, I was surprised to see Lindsey. She was on earlier in the week, if my memory serves me correctly. The last time I saw her was around September 2004, when she was covering the Egyptian bombings. She's a great presenter, and is the longest serving presenter at BBC World - she's been there since 1991.
