Well, he sometimes presents the business on World and I suppose also on N24 (as I saw him presenting the 2145 edition of WBR). But quite rarely.

Just curious... what is the salary of a BBC World news presenter?

They won't tell us that, but as an intelligent guess £50,000

Apparently, a new studio will debut on WBR as the BBC in New York move to a new location sometime this month.

Is the backdrop on WBR New York fake or is it actually a real window?

Sorry if already posted but I read that the BBC are moving in with WLIW-TV New York, one of many PBS stations in New York. WLIW distributes BBC World newscasts to PBS stations several times a day. It was also stated that the BBC and WLIW would work closely together on various documentaries.

WBR comes from the Reuters building in Times Square so all the backdrop is real. They have a number of studios that overlook the Square. The WBR team will move into a new BBC NY office which will house business, news and other BBC operations all under one roof, rather than the number of offices they have at the moment. The new studio will not overlook Times Square but it will have a new multi purpose studio for all outlets to use.

Adrian Finighan popped up last night, doing a midweek evening slot on BBC World, thus continuing the slight juggling of rosters that we have seen on various occasions in the last week or so.

He IS very good too!

I wonder what happened with Lyndsey Brancher; I haven't seen her on any shift for months now.BTW, I really like the way they are moving presenters into different shifts; I don't know of other news channels that do the same, but it would be nice if they bring other presenters at least for a shift or two per week..like people say: "variety is the spice of life".

Is it a real window? I thought it was absolutely fake, in the camera shot used when the presenter interviews someone it looks as it was a screen...
