Did anyone else notice some shift reorganisations this week and quite a lot of the regular faces have all bu disappeared for the week???

Good job Lucy Hockings enjoys reading the autocue, as she's been the main filler-in this week, along with Geeta who was on just about every day in some way.

Yeah, Mike Embley has been presenting day-time... I like when presenters do not have their own shift and they can appear on my screen at anytime...

Alastair Yates worked a double shift from 21.00 to 05.30 on tuesdaynight if I"m correct. Lots of new faces presenting the
weather this week.

What exactly is the current BBC World Countdown. Is the one below the current one?

Yes that's it, just with a slightly altered ending, the News 24 countdown really should be used on BBC World IMHO.

I do like the World countdown soundtrack but because I've not seen it live for about a year I'm not sure how it will compare to the current News 24 soundtrack. They're both good though.

as the new N24 countdown is based on the reporters around the world and not UK centric it's quite suitable for World now. Obviously with a few more tweaks to make it more worldy.

I missed who presented the news this morning... still Ben Brown?

Adrian I think, followed by Geeta, then - strangely - Lyse Doucet turned up and did a late Sunday shift. She also presented Dateline London earlier in the afternoon.

Haven't seen Lyse doing a Sunday shift for years.

Yeah, I vaguely remember Lyse doing weekends around 2000/2001, when they first got the red and cream look. She then reverted to doing Monday mornings, Thursday afternoons and Friday late afternoons. Haven't seen her for a while...does she still do those shifts?

Lyse, as many other presenters, hasn't got her own shifts.
