Its always good to watch the end of TWT before the top of the hour because the presenters slowy fade away into the closing titles. And today was a lillte bit funny lol... it went like this.

And thats all from the World Business report in Manisha Tank....
and I'mmmm David Eadesyouve been watching the world today I hope youve enjoyed the programme. (this is where he gets lost) "The World Today... returns at the same time tommorow" Then when they both slowy faded off the scree to the closing titles David started waving his hands around then started saying something, but obviously coudlnt hear because the Microphones where off. lol

Bye!

Yeah, I've always liked when, in the old set, the two presenters started talking to each other before the ending titles. Now this happens just on TWT, but they are in different studios...

....different studios, but still quite close by to each other, if I am not mistaken. Marcus?

Doesn't the newsreader in the main newsroom just have to move there eye slightly to the right to see the other presenter accross the room?

I persume you mean the BBC World Studio?
From memory the "other" studio (The World, World Business Report, Sport Day Confused ) are just across from the newsroom, tucked away in a corner.
Maybe someone at BBC World would care to elaporate on my somewhat flimsy explanation....

They're directly opposite each other - they just spin the cameras around for World Biz & Sport Today etc

Has Sally Bundock left the WBR and TWT team, or did she just do 'Breakfast News' for the election because Ms Piggy was out and about?

Sally is maybe just away on vacation or something, however it really IS good to have Manisha on TWT. She is excellent.

Geeta Guru-Murthy was in good form yesterday, alongside Mary Rhodes for the sports news during Asia Today. They shared a couple of well timed jokes and appeared to actually get on very well with each other.

Due to a couple of late nights down here, I have managed to see Katty Kay presenting World News from Washington. I have to admit, she is vastly improved from the early days of that particular bulletin. He style (both in a fashion sense and in terms of delivery) reminds me very much of Julia Somerville, ex-BBC and ITN. Anyone else noticed that?

Tanya and Jamie screwed up the intro to the joint WBR just now - both talking over each other, and Jamie then telling her (jokingly) to just get on with it.

Mark Eddo is very cold and sombre in comparison to all the other biz presenters, even more sombre than Robertson is, and that's saying something!!!!!

Darshini and even Aaron are beginning to grow on me actually.

Hello there. I happened to go through an old post on the internet regarding BBC WORLD... and to my great surprise I found a live stream link - http://mplay.donga.com/bbcWorld.asx , which is still working....

It has been nice to see Carol Kirkwood presenting the weather on BBC World this week. We don't normally get to see Carol here in BBC World land, as she is primarily used on Network.

However, for those of you viewers in the UK familiar with Carol's bright and breezy (pardon the pun) and excitable style on Breakfast and BBC1, I have to tell you that on BBC World, she is almost like a totally different person - very quiet, calm and without the usual energy and exhuberance that she is famed for back home.

However, it is nice to see her anyway.

Lucy Hockings, Geeta Guru-Murthy and Adrian Finighan were on duty at World yesterday. No sign of Anya. Good to see Anita McNaught back yesterday too, albeit in a narrating role on a documentary on GM Modified Crops.

It's very useful especially when you lose the European feed.

Is someone able to tell me what the usual shifts are on BBC World (in hours) and which presenters usually present in each shift pattern.

Thanks
Very Happy
