Presumeably that the potential audience rather than the actual one?

I believe the potential audience is well over 200 million households. Notice also that it's 59 million viewers per week , not watching at any one time.

The two streams for BBC World are currently down. Will this be for some form of maintenance which they do at the Weekend?

No potential audience is 250 million households
59 million is the number who watch at some point each week

Well here in the UK, News 24 seem to be starting with International news then moving to domestic so are World using N24's output ?
I only noticed as Tim Willcox started the second half hour with World News ahead of the election news (Which is usual done in the reverse order, Election then World News) before a very long pause and straight into the election news.

The stream is now working (although a bit disjointed). So they must have been carrying out maintenance at the Weekend.

I tuned into The World Today and then BBC World News at 0500 London Time this morning, and noticed that David Eades and Manisha Tank did an extra bulletin together this morning (4 consecutive bulletins, as opposed to the usual three).
I presumed that this would rectify itself by 0900hrs London time, and that perhaps it was just a case of Martine being stuck in traffic or something.
However, it wasn't the case, and we were consequently treated to a bulletin at 0900hrs, presented by Manisha Tank and Darshini David, no less.
And what a team they were!! Don't know how regular an occurrence it is for Manisha to present the News, but as I've said all along, she is an excellent news presenter.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see her going the way of Adrian Finighan and Mishal Hussein, and becoming a news presenter, as opposed to a business presenter.
Well done Manisha.
