New closing titles? Unfortunately there are no closing titles anymore, the presenter just fade away in a very creepy way...
Anyway I hope they are not changing all the orange graphics to red and black ones... All this red and black does not look that good, does it?

Why are graphics and music during the title sequence on BBC World out of sink, time after time since graphics have become red today?
After the headlines you SEE the 'big bang' (explosion) but it takes another while before you actually hear it.
Besides, I cannot see the point of why BBC World has switched to red. I mean: the main difference between News 24 and World, until recently, was the colour of the graphics, which are now all the same (except for the list made by David Jonathan on the previous page).
My biggest objection against the red look is the spinning globe... it just doesn't look well; the black and red globe. And it looks fake.
Though, one positive point for me is the ticker, which is now updated as mentioned. The bolder font is easier to read and makes the text look more important.
But I liked the orange! Not *just* because I'm from The Netherlands, but mainly because no other global news channel carries orange as a prominent colour.

The only reason they are using a red globe, is because of the software, it hasn't been programmed with an orange globe, ok this you can understand, but why is BBC WORLD coming on top and BBC NEWS at the bottom????
It will be interesting to see the summary when it will be the orange globe with BBC News on top and BBC World at the bottom again.

If they want to stick to the red opening titles (which I hope) they'll need to change all their graphics. They'll need:
new countdown
new break stings/network stings
new on-screen graphics (phone graphic, split screen etc.)
new idents
new breakfiller
new live coverage/breaking news sting
new break bumper
new closing titles
Did I forget anything?

They do use closing titles on The World Today every morning. But as the titles on TWT are pre-rendered the opening titles for this programme are still orange.

Just been watching 15 mins of blooopers on UKTV here in new zealand and I must say they did show alot off BBC News bloopers to and there were some faces still seen now that are on bbc world. Including Linsdey Brancher. I saw about bloopers with her. some you wouldnt imagine! Like getting caught taking a drink then hiding it then burping while speaking and reading the news like she was at home!

That's bad news IMO. The orange titles worked really well with the old set. But as there isn't any orange in the new set but a lot of red I think the red ones are far better.

For the life of me I can't figure out why they'd have red titles for a while, before going back to orange. There is no orange (and very little black for that matter) on the BBC World and BBC News 24 sets. The colours you see on set are predominantly red and white. The supers are predominantly red and black. The titles are now red and black as well, but will go back to orange and black, joining all the other full screen graphics (stings, countdown, breakfiller, etc) that remain orange and black. I mean, it's clear that BBC News are trying to create a very distinctive visual brand with their sets, as well as with their graphics. The problem is those two brands don't go together properly! Is it that hard to be consistent?
