Another interesting "twist" of late has been the recruitment of Aaron Heslehurst from WBR and Business News, to the team of presenters on "Fast-track", the BBC World Travel Programme. Aaron presents a regular weekly slot pertaining to the world of air travel.

So, these normally "desk bound" guys DO in actual fact get around!!

I noticed that too. Haven't seen him do WBR for ages now - is Fasttrack his main programme now?

It seems that way -- Darshini David seems to be on all the time now during the daytime.

Well, unfortunately the dreadful Mark Eddo sometimes replace her...

Yes I don't like when he is on, but he is a good business presenter.

It was lovely to see the excellent Adrian Finighan grinning widely when Wales won the rugby. Adrian (who is a Welshman) opended the Sports News on Saturday with a statement along the lines of "you see a Welshman sitting in front of you, a very happy Welshman in fact, since Wales have beaten.........continues...."

I think his style of presentation and relaxed manner is wonderful and would definately rate him as one of my favourite presenters at the BBC.

Long may he continue to "be with World, putting news first".

Good to see Anita's report too. Wished that she would cuddle up to that pig!

I agree with you about Adrian. Only thing is, the BBC don't give him enough shifts...he should be on much more than just weekends. Without naming names, some of the weekday presenters are abismal - God knows how they keep their jobs! Adrian would be far better during the week. Remember when Mishal went to Washington a few years ago? Adrian made the evening shift his own, and he was really good too.

Yeah definitely he should do the evening bulletins on BBC World, he too is my favourite presenter, he has a relaxed style of presenting, I think he should be on News 24 more often as well.

There aren't many that do. In fact, I think the only one that does is Adrian, but it's only very occasional. However, there is a BBC World News bulletin on News 24 every day at 09.30. It's presented live by the on-duty World presenter - so, usually Martine Dennis or Lyse Doucet.

It's usually the other way round. We sometimes see a N24 presenter on BBCW, namely Alistair Yates, who has been doing late shift on Saturday and Sunday recently (as well as his regular overnight simulcast shift).

Peter Dobbie very ocassionally pops up on World too.
