I wish BBC One's News was more like BBC World. Better presnters, set and programme, music and a whole better feel.

It's good to see the wonderful Mishal Husain back on World. I like her icy presentation style.

She is just a tad brillaint isn't she! Us mere morals in the UK only breifly see her when thing go tits up, needing stand in presenter etc.
General BBC World does have a more "professional" output than our services here in the Uk. That not to detract from News24, whichhas come on leaps and bounds. But BBC World always just looks and feels well....better.

I've just seen Kirsty Lang present the 1200 GMT bulletin on World. How long has she been doing this? Is she still the main presenter of THE WORLD???

Kirsty Lang often stands in on BBC World News bulletins, just as BBC World presenters (Nisha, Zeinab) often stand in on Kirsty's main bulletin, The World.

In addition, BBC World is in favour of shifting people around a little bit, and the only presenters who now seem to have fixed abodes are Nik Gowing, David Eades, Martine Dennis and Mike Embley.

Does anyone know when BBC World's TOG will be updated, it's very jittery on screen.

Who cares? The people who watch it don't pay towards the license fee so they'll have to make do with what they've got!

Well I pay the licence fee so that's a bit stupid to say, it's a perfectly valid question, which didn't need such an answer as provided by your gracious self.

Sorry Harshy! Just joking!

No idea to answer your question. I've not actually noticed if the N24 Tower is less jerky since their (what I presume was a) hardware update. The ticker's certainly smoother - is that the case on World too?

I knew you were joking Wink

Well the World graphics are as jerky as ever really, shame really, I guess it only matters if World were to produce the overnight bulletins, otherwise UK viewers won't witness them anyway.

How long are we still supposed to tolerate those Putting-News-First adverts with Emily Buchanan, John Simpson? They're so annoying that I feel the need of switching to Al Arabiya when I see them.

And I've noticed the rolling text every 15 minutes, just in order to distract people watching a programme... Seems to me the latest senseless innovation on BBCWorld.

It's part of their "Putting News First" slogan in order to feel more like a rolling news channel.
