Looks like there's a new look for BBC Wales Today - Jayne James sat in front of a national-style newsroom backdrop instead of Cardiff Bay during the headlines at one.

Previous set redesigns have brought with them new titles and music - hope this isn't the case today!

There is indeed a new look to Wales Today - first look at 1330

Looks nice, from what I can see better than the other new sets so far.

I wonder if this means Newyddion will finally get 2008 style titles? Surely it'll look odd in this new set if they keep the current titles?

No new titles - but I hope they've done some for Newyddion. A shame that the Cardiff Bay backdrop has gone after all this time but I agree the new set looks good.

LOL

The weather presenter looks totally ridiculous and way out of scale with Jayne and the desk.

Interesting they seem to have gone with CSO rather than rear projection for the big screen.

Really, looks like rear projection to me (judging by those caps and that we're taliking about the screen they do the weather from)?

Look at the green reflecting on the floor...

Edit: Having said that, the colour quality on the screen itself looks rather dodgy for green screen?

Well Newyddion has new titles. I'll cap this at 7.30 and in a moment will upload a short clip from Wales Today showing the new set being fitted.

In basic terms:

CSO is a green screen. The actual presenter only sees a green screen behind them (some have a faint overlay of the graphics so the presenters know where to point)

A rear-projection screen is actually there and the image is shown by a projector behind the screen. The presenter can see it.
