BBC Wales have replaced their midweek late bulletin with BBC Wales Live, combining the news with interviews and studio debates. Nothing revolutionary granted but quite nice to see them escape the generic BBC News brand with it's own studio, logo and look - something a bit old school regional news about it, and that's a compliment.

Love the titles. Very smart looking.

Indeed. It just goes to prove that local/regional does not have to equal cheap and tacky. Stylish title sequence, large studio, it looks the business.

I'd love to see the BBC regions break away from the straight jacket of the corporate style like this. I know that's difficult because most regions only have the one studio, but still, really good.
Newsroom24 and all new Phil gave kudos

The only issue I have is with the lighting, it looks way too washed out and as if they're using houselights to illuminate the set

Very nice to see deviation from the corporate look which doesn't try its best to imitate said look, such as this disaster:

That's true, but with the kind of set redressing they do in Leeds for the SuperLeague Show it is possible to get a flexible set in a small space. Obviously not enough space for an audience/panel like Wales have, but it could be made to work, I think.

I'm guessing Wales used C1 for their show? Is it HD yet or did that get binned due to the impending move?

No more HD upgrades due for Llandaff. If they want to do an HD production there it'll have to be an OB drive in .

A CGI logo positioned over a roundabout? Not the best end shot!

Nice to see something a bit different. Nicely done studio and titles, but I really wasn't that keen on the colors. Really quite dull and dreary. Overall though, looks to be a good programme.

Modern, contemporary and fresh. Unlikely to happen but would be nice to see the regions adopt a similar approach.

The English regions barely have enough dosh to produce properly filled 15 minute bulletins at 22:30, something
like this is only possible from BBC Nations style funding.

It reminds me of the extended regional shows some ITV companies did in the 80s

Presentation wise, not bulletin length.
