BBC Wales debate UK wide

Does this really need to be on the BBC News channel when its shown on BBC1 Wales? Its of no relevance in the rest of the UK.

I am not objecting to the coverage however it's simply a cheap filler option for BBC News so I presume this is the key reason it is being shown.
