When did this first start? A BBC TWO specific weather forecast. I noticed it tonight after Newsnight. Here are some caps I managed to grab before heading off to bed.

Why? It wouldn't be very BBC TWO then would it? And there aren't any licence-fee payers in Alsace-Lorraine or the mid-Atlantic for them to worry about!

This has been going on for a few weeks to my knowledge.

Looks like a quite creative way of doing something different outside the safe area to me - anything useful on the map won't be in this area anyway.

This is great - well done Weather Centre. It's been a while since BBC TWO has had weather forecasts - WeatherView used to be on BBC TWO ISTR with a much shorter forecast at closedown on BBC ONE. It's been a long time since 2 had it's own news bulletins, often preceeded by a clock, they were on at around 7pm at the weekend I think...

... and it's already been discussed in the Weather Forecasters thread.

its all very well having generic threads, but believe it or not, we don't all follow them religiously. if the original poster does not update the sub-title regularly then there is very little reason for people to look in on the weather thread on the off chance that something interesting is being posted.
