I've been watching this again for the last few days, and am enjoying the disorganised and slightly farcical feel it seems to have taken on since the new format came in! Today's was no exception, and at the end of the programme Tazeen was given presents (presumably it was her last show before she goes on maternity leave), but Eddie kept saying that they had both been fired! I also notice that on the website it now says "Join Paddy O'Connell and Sevi Lawson Mon to Fri". Although I know Eddie's known for his...unusual ways to end the programme, is he really not going to be presenting it anymore?

Also, although it's great at the moment (if just for entertainment value), its current state does seem a little temporary - no titles, no music etc. Are they testing the water, and playing with a different format, or is this how it's going to stay? I get a horrible feeling it might not be long before it gets axed altogether, but I hope this isn't the case as it provides something different and entertaining for a news programme, and in its current guise it suits BBC Three quite well.

It's an epic programme - I absolutely love it.

After watching all the proper news programmes during the day it's really nice to just sit there and watch Eddie being bitchy.

Especially loved the latest in his weather forecast series too.

Hope the programme doesn't get the axe as it's fast turning into Liquid News (hoorah!) and loved the Eurovision feature. "Best use of a grandma". Fantastic.

Today's BBC Three News email just said:
"Hello from Eddie, Tazeen (presenting her final show before maternity leave) and the rest of the team"
so no mention of it being Eddie's final show.

BBC Three News/ 7 O'Clock news is truly brilliant!

After hearing Eddie on PM on the way home, its nice to see him in the flesh and again be so bloody brilliant. Paddy, much the same.
Have to say though I prefered the previous version with the two areas (screens and swivel chairs)
The programme is rapidly turning into Liquid News on the QT; which may not be such a bad thing! (Even Paddy presenting)
Wonder whos replacing Tazeen? It would be nice to see Sam Singh again. She always added a flare to Liquid News.

From what I understand no fixed position on BBC Three News has yet been taken, particualy following a report (name slips my mind) questing the effectiveness on BBC3 & 4.
It seems clear they are playing with a few formats, we've had serious now we appear to have light hearted and relaxed, which in my opinion suits the slot.
Oh and have I mention how excellent Mr Mair is?

Joel.

I didn't like Sam Singh on LN, she didn't seem that comfortable, and I seem to remember fluffing her lines too often.

Paddy will be filling in every now and then over the next few months, no doubt to give Eddie a break.

I can confirm that Friday was Eddie and Tazeen's last show together for a while. Tazeen is off to have her baby. Eddie will be doing some fill in but from next week it'll mainly be Paddy and Sevi together. Also this week has been quite Eurovision heavy - as the channel went big on it - so that's prob why it felt quite Liquid like, but having said all that we do try hard to make the show fun but still informative. Title etc went when we got the new set.

Did anyone get caps of the show?

Out of Interest; Will there be a BBC 3 News on Monday or merly a 60 seconds update from 7 onwards or just no news on the strike dates....

I'd agree when she first started, but I always remember watching Liquid News on a Sunday morning on N24 and Sam being very funny and laid back, very Sunday - ish. Pitty a few of the old faces don't come back out of the woodwork...Colin Patterson and such.

No more I'm afraid as I was only capping casually.

It was very good.

Not seen it much lately since it moved to 8.30pm (and back again) and the former set was axed in favour of comfy sofas - which just took the edge of it.

One thing I like on it is how they look at the headlines on the main news programmes around the world.
