George is presenting the Ten tonight, he seems to be doing a good job so far.

Yes, in the space of 3 mins hes managed to read the headlines and introduce the first story - big wow. Why make a post saying hes 'done well so far' when hes only been on literally a couple of mins - harldy enough time to judge!

You make it sound like George has just started presenting his first ever bulletin.

I know! Winifred, you do realise that the presenting the Ten O'clock News is exactly the same as presenting the Six O'clock News? Turn up at N6, read the autocue, do a few interviews and that's it. Hardly something he's not used to!

I'm a good judge of competency. I don't need a long time to determine someones capabilities. Smile

Well, he's just finished and he did a very good job. I wonder where Huw is because according to the Radio Times, he was suppose to be presenting tonight.

On this forum, we all have different views, inevitibly we all disagree on some things, but it seems overwhelmingly that people on here think you're a moron. I would usually stay out of disagreements like this, I know I wouldnt want campaigns against me, but you really are starting to tick me and many others off now! Why bother to drag up a thread, over 2 months old, to post that George is presenting, something that he has done many times in the past, and will continue to do in the future. In reference to your judge of competency, maybe you should take some time and judge your competence in posting, that way, people might value you opinion rather then just dismissing everything you say, as im sure nearly all of us do at the moment.
