The big ben chimes are used on the Turkish radio programmes, and pretty much every other non-English programme on the World Service. So although we tend to associate them with ITV News at Ten in this country, the rest of the world assocates them with the BBC.

Do you listen to the World Service? The "tacky Big Ben chime" has been part of their on-air identity for quite a while...

There is nothing wrong with the sound of it, but opening a programme with a shot of Big Ben and the chimes is a little old fashioned!

Blimey, the opening titles with the blue orb... tis rather sad to think that's the best an external agency can come up with when internally they made the brilliant looking Arabic designs.

So is it confirmed that Lambie-Nairn did those titles... Confused: Confused:

Ah, sorry, I'm just under that assumption due to the similarities with the new branding.

The last two posters are getting things horribly confused.

The people who made those titles are probably with the Turkish BBC operation, and therefore inexperienced and not well equipped. They simply cut some bits L-N sent them and mixed it all together to create one horrific video clip.

And when you say internal BBC - that isn't one person. The people who made that title sequence maybe haven't even met the BBC Arabic creators!
