Can't believe I'm seeing John Hammond as a reporter on the weather in the Peak District now!

This is the sort of thing they can try at 'strike time' which may creep in at other points if it is deemed a success. Weather presenters are best qualified to talk about snow.

We get it in the Yorkshire region - Paul Hudson is officially the "Climate Correspondent" for BBC Yorkshire.

A tweet from freelance journalist Bhavani Vadde who has presented on strike days previously suggests that BBC London News will be on at 1815.

Now 1820 according to Edward Sault at BBC CI.

It will be interesting to see if Naga presents breakfast tomorrow. She was down to present it according to the radio times and she's worked during past strikes.

There's a sad irony that the BBC News at the moment is showcasing the excellent expertise of BBC World Service staff that are at the centre of the DQF cuts. The various journalists from the various language services are really fleshing out the coverage, filling time on the running order.

A report by Nick Witchell now - he usually breaks the strike doesn't he?

He's Royal, Ronant. He's paid via the Civil List as opposed to being a BBC employee. He's taken over from Queen Jennie Bon who, funnily enough, WAS sat behind a BBC news desk last evening.
