Paddy O'Connell is awesome on Storyfix, as he is in most things he does. I think he's an excellent presenter with a wit and comic timing all of his own.

I agree, he's a very underrated presenter.

Yeah, he is quite good, it's just a shame that anyone with an ounce of personality or a pretty face in news also has to do a Dancing Show, Eurovision or guff like Celebdaq.

HAS to?

Maybe he quite LIKES them! He certainly seems to relish stepping into Wogan's shoes to cover the Eurovision semis!

This week's StoryFix is now online. Nearly 6 minutes long now - it's getting bigger and better!

Yes - because news is the only thing a person would ever want to work on. Entertainment has no purpose and is beneath everyone...

Or maybe not.

Could be that people fancy a change, and entertainment shows can be a whole lot of fun to work on.

I don't think Paddy is forced to work on Eurovision...

Probably my favourite Fix so far out this weekend, back with Emily Maitlis (who manages to do a Jamaican accent and a Homer Simpson!)

I don't get to watch the Kate Silverton and Simon McCoy combination much, but guessing by the amount they appear on the Fix, they seem to have good banter.

Seeing Bill Turnbill give himself a nosebleed, and the North Korean reaction to their missile tests were also highlights this week.

As it said in this week's Fix- "....big names, plenty of entertainment and it's free! BBC News...."

That was my favourite line as well

Is it me or was this week's STORYFix just not funny? They're normally hilarious, but this week the only bit that made me laugh was the "Out here in the Thames estury, there are plans for a giant" "Paperclip". I actually thought that was one of SF's funniest clips, but it's a shame it was the only funny moment from this week.

It also seemed really awkward and badly edited. The Zidane headbut clip seems to be two static shots rather than a clip, and on the online feed at least, the endcap was actually used as the opening titles.

What happened, STORYFix?! Was the normal editor on holiday this week?

Yes, wasn't up to the usual standard this week- but I'll let them a slightly weaker one once in a while.

Must say I missed Blair saying "No, I've never felt like hugging a hoody" earlier in the week, but that's quite a quote.

They also seem quite adept at Fix HQ at keeping an eye on Eastern block politics- we've had a couple of examples of parliamentary violence in the past, and this week's clip from Ukraine didn't disappoint!

This weeks really was the worst. It has reached a low. I hope by next week, it will be back up on its feet. I thought this weeks was rather slow, and the music wasnt loud enough to keep the pace.

Something tells me this week's installment has been made by someone else. Or many things: the end titles for opening titles, the off-air recording, Emily's links appearing in the fast motion recap, the fact it wasn't partcularly funny... or maybe it was an off day.
