Hi,

Just wondering if there's anyone who watches these two regional programmes quite a lot and has ever come across a reporter called Morris (not sure of his last name) on either BBC South Today Oxford or BBC South East Today?

Sorry...it might be Maurice, rather than Morris

What on earth's going on in the last couple of days?

Has this thread suddenly become totally invisible?

Not heard of Maurice or even a Morris.

The only Maurice I've heard of on BBC local news was Maurice Flynn who worked as a reporter on the lamentably bad Points West, a show which serves Bristol and parts of the west country. I think he has worked as a producer too. I can't be a hundred percent sure about BBC South East ,( incidentally another bad local news show ) but i haven't heard of anyone called Maurice working on there.

Absolutely right Nick , the moment i tried to type the word last night i thought " that's being kind ". Fails or shames is a more truthful term for the PW lot. Wink

Ok, well thanks everyone.

Someone said that this Morris/ Maurice reporter freelanced at BBC South East Today....to be honest, I don't even think regional programmes take on freelance reporters!

Who the hell knows!

Well, there you go then.

If anyone's going to know, beep chubby's going to know.

Roll on the freelances.

Oh heck, is that my cue?

The lovely Maurice Flynn was on Points West tonight doing a report in the studio.

I know him from my days with the BBC in the West cluster, and know for a fact he is a freelance with lots of regions including Oxford, Bristol and Birmingham while he's studying on the side.
