Still think South Today is most in need of a new set?

IMO, the 7 above, they are either old and refreshed cheaply or just looking tired. All of the new regional sets have had glossy screens and shiny desks etc, the way they should be.
There are a few that could do with losing the swirls on the backdrops, but I don't think any of them are hideous. Nottingham could perhaps have a bit of depth to it, but that's probably a limitation of the space they have available. I'd like Leeds to have a proper desk, but that's a presentational choice rather than the set looking shabby, although I'll give you that the lighting in Leeds can look a bit dingy on occasion.
East Midlands Today, Spotlight and Newsline are probably the most in need of a set refurb. Of course Spotlight's is just a temporary set so they can be let off but the other two are pretty desperate.
Points West could do with one I guess as it's about 4 years old now but it's still looking pretty slick so isn't desperate.
But 4 years is nothing compared to 10 years that the likes of ITV Central have had their current set bar a couple of relights.
Look east's set actually looks quite good, especially with the blue lighting they've added to the backdrop.
IMO there's not a problem with any of the sets, a few don't look too great though, but they're not awful.
the 8th set (not sure on region) looks like they have a bit more space to play with?

Newsline's design is A LOT nicer than the current BBC News designs, but in comparison to the other local sets, it does look really bad and tired.
Newsline is terrible. You can't see how badly lit it is in that screen grab, especially the weather screen. Several of the studios need a bit of rebalancing on the cameras too.
South Today is actually one of the better looking regions.
