Here's a picture (which I've posted before) of the studio without the projectors or lighting on. You can see that it would be very unlikely for the screen to be movable.

I suppose everyone's knows about the clever mirror at each end of the back wall to make it look longer?

It has been mentioned here before. Neat trick.

Personally, I think the current BBC News presentation is horrible. In terms of the national news, the backdrop is so cluttered, and the laptop is just ugly.
Yet, with some alterations it could look very professional. For example, I would replace the wood flooring with thin, dark gray carpet, and integrate the computer into the desk. Also, I would project a simpler, more abstract background (in blue, black and white gradients) rather than the current VR-Newsroom. Finally, I would introduce a less cluttered, cleaner set of titles and less clunky graphics.

Fin!

Not exactly... although that still looks better....
Basically, I would keep the current set, but scrap the ikea floor and fake newsroom, replacing them with something more subtle.

It's kinda fun to watch the people in the background - one with vivid pink hair danced past the other day. And what's wrong with IKEA?
