I've noticed that the UK weather has disappeared after the 10.25 RS bulletin - is this across all regions or just the nations or specific to Scotland ( although I seem to remember NI stopped showing it a while back )?

Just the nations. Wales joined NI sometime last year, just before or around the time the English regions weather presenters started handing over directly to the national weather from the regional - Scotland has only started dropping the national weather relatively recently I believe. Stupid idea in my opinion - that nightly national forecast is usually one of the most informative.

The weather forecast shown within Reporting Scotland now has a UK forecast, so you're not missing anything.

It's staying then:

Makes sense given the General Election might actually look quite interesting in Scotland, for once.

Tonight's teatime bulletin didn't have the usual backdrop (River Clyde and Squinty Bridge.) I can't even think of where they were using, any one else notice it?

It looks like a view from the other side of the BBC building, looking towards the disused docks (I think that's what they were!) and the Braehead area in the background.

I don't think it was the Dry Docks and there's no high rises there and in around that area, and I used to live in Govan so I know my way around the place.

It looked more up North-ish if anything else...

It is the other side of the building.

It's looking northwest towards the Riverside Museum and Partick area.

Ah, the old roller blind?

That's just the other roof camera. They're both remotely controllable on full pan/tilt heads, and can cover a fair chunk of the city.

In the shot above, the Science Centre is just out of shot to the left, and the Waverley is a bit of a giveaway.

While the two cameras are at opposite ends of the building, they can sometimes get the two lined up to provide a reasonably good live panorama across two big screens in the studio.

Yes, if it was a 'roller blind' they'd choose a better, clearer shot than that!
