John Milne, former presenter of Reporting Scotland, has died.

Ironically, I bumped into someone whilst travelling last week and we were reminiscing of the Mary Marquis era on BBC Scotland, and John Milne crossed my mind at the time.

Always felt he was a classy, well spoken presenter.

So nice to see Politics Scotland being on BBC one Scotland. I still think BBC two should have 2 hours show with more live action from the Parliament on Wednesday and Thursday.

Reporting Scotland reported on Jackie Bird's 25 years on the programme tonight. Unfortunately there was either some technical problem or the person in charge of the sound didn't know what they were doing - the music was far too loud/speech too quiet. Available on iPlayer live restart - 18:52.

Can you get BBC One scotland on restart? I thought it was London region that shows on the iPlayer restart?

Yeah Jackie's highlights were ruined as the music was way too loud and the speech was barely audible.

Nice end to the programme with the 1991 titles and title music.

The highlights package (but not the studio bit) is here. The only cringe moment was her singing, not bad going really.

And she's back on Scotland 2014 tonight looking back at 25 years of news as well, so that should be worth a watch.
