He was in the studio at the end of the 6.30 bulletin tonight. They showed old clips and bid him farewell.

Sad to see. I'd always thought the two of them would bow out together.

I know they've said Anne is staying on as lead anchor, but will this mean more screen time for the likes of Sarah Teale and Navtej Johal?

Probably, I like Navtej’s presenting style he was good on East Midlands tonight and when he co presented with Anne on the 6:30 programme during simpler times if you know what I mean. and Sarah’s been doing it for a while now

Sarah Teale was a reporter and newsreader on Central News (East) about 15 to 20 years ago. She is very experienced.

Same here. He appeared on National a few times as well this year as a reporter when Leicester went into localised lockdown.

No, she left Central News in 2006.

Sarah would have been my first choice if Dominic and Anne both took voluntary redundancy. She's originally from Croydon, but as you say knows that patch off by heart.
