The DP/SP theme tune sounded like it had originally been written for a CBeebies programme or something.

I always thought it sounded like it was originally meant for a daytime antiques show. I really couldn't bear the hideously twee, faux-whimsical theme and titles from the Sundaily Politics. Worse than Oneness.

It fitted when used on the Daily Politics with it’s slightly raised eyebrow Westminster village format with Andrew Neil.

It didn’t fit as well on the traditionally presented regional shows, and made no sense whatsoever when it was retained only for those shows.
