They also appear to be using a strange Arial version of the Spotlight logo on Facebook and Twitter, and used the old Gill Sans logo on their Breakfast bulletins this morning.

The originally planned name of course was 'London Live', tying in with the short-lived name forthe radio station from 2000-01.

Wasn't there even a version of the generic regional titles with the flying maps produced for London Live that, obviously, was never used? I recall it popping up on here at one point.

Look East used a similar template but instead of saying Travel News they had some more specific e.g. High Street Closed then the town below. Seems like the London implementation makes more sense.

BBC London have also used the opportunity to update some of the lighting in the studio. The desk is now lit red instead of white and the light boxes underneath the screens have changed from red to white.
