i'm all for ditching the older presenters and i'm not being ageist they're just dull to watch. I'm not keen on trevor mc, philip hayton, huw edwards etc. The only older ones i like are the lovely Nick Owen on ITN, Moira Stewart. Angela Rippon is good of a sunday.
I like to watch the likes of Kate Silverton, Susannah Reid, Sian Williams, Natasha K. The Beeb really do have some good talent and N24 is now quite a prestige channel and gets respectable ratings so presenters on there shouldn't ben envious of not being on bbc1 at all - it's not a lesser channel by any means.

Do you actually know what you're talking about? You say you don't like older presenters then say that you like Moira, Angela Rippon and Sian Williams - the first two are old enough to be Huw Edwards's mother and Sian's hardly a spring chicken.
Surely if you're a good presenter, you're a good presenter.
Perhaps you should stick to Newsround if you want children's news.

Age should not come into it. Credibility and authority are all that matters. Sorry to hear that Philip has gone, if it is true. He was an excellent presenter, and highly experienced.

I know that people have mentioned that it was a News 24 presenter who left, and that he was male, but does anybody else find it interesting that Anna Ford has not been on since Monday, when the News was annonced? It seems strange that somebody would do just one day anf then have the rest of the week off unless ill, surely if going on holiday or just having a week off they would take the whole week... any thoughts?
