According to "TV Ark" - "Points West probably has the one of best looks out of all the regions. The set still looks clean, bright and very white... perfect for the new corporate look based on white."
Although it does look very nice, Scott93, I don't think you can beat the Spotlight set in Plymouth. Of course they have the good fortune to have one of the largest regional studios at their disposal, and some nifty wide-angle camera work makes it look even bigger!
They've managed to refresh it quite often with a lick of paint here and there over the years, and recently refurbished half the studio quite effectively (although I wasn't originally a fan of the pick-and-mix approach - but it's grown on me since February).
And to illustrate the diversity of the set (which no doubt is common in all regions), this is how it is dressed for the Politics Show on Sunday afternoons:
I liked Points West's set in the earlier days, especially the wall to the right with the red and black squares. I do still like it but I prefer the North West Tonight set, looks more inkeeping with the Nationals design, and especially better in red.
BBC NE&C is by far the worst, still using a 1999 wooden desk.
