Intentional? You mean two seperate entities didn't simultaneously come up with exactly the same sequence??

As has been mentioned quite frequently here before, all of the above mentioned brands (BBC Alba, BBC Persian/Farsi etc.) are all part of the wider non-English language BBC branding, which also includes the smaller BBC Turkish-language service, and will probably eventually also include the BBC Arabic and BBC Newyddion Welsh-language services as well.

They look the same because they are both part of the wider Lambie-Nairn brand identity developed for non-English language services. (I think the aim was for them to work with Roman and non-Roman script and be a bit more "global" in feel)

Not sure I see that small domestic services like BBC Alba and BBC Newyddion have much in common with BBC Arabic and BBC Persian/Farsi though - and it is a real pity that the Lambie-Nairn branding is a bit wishy-washy (and looks quite cheap) in comparison to the much stronger current BBC Arabic brand, which has higher production values and much greater visual impact. (Whilst a huge fan of David Lowe's news music, I also think that the current BBC Arabic music is very strong)

Absolutely intentional, and a wise cost-cutting measure when jobs are being axed.

Chances of people watching An La and BBC Persian are slim. A bit like why 90% of the English Regions titles are used for World News Today etc.

They would have difficulty justifying spending thousands of pounds more on unique pres for every output.

Of course there are sados like us who won't let any of this pass our attention Wink

Though the graphics are 'recycled', they are all of high quality I must say.

Yep - I think the implementation of the brand is very well done. Slick astons particularly.

it seems that BBC Persian's entertainment programmes are being blocked on the Live Stream... i guess the Live Stream is only intended for NEWS, but please post it here if they show Click, HARDtalk or any other programmes.

EDIT:
Although i have used a crappy screen recorder & NCH wavepad for recording the video & audio, i think it's useful...

Someone's uploaded quite a good capture of the launch on YouTube - high quality mode recommended - the countdown sequence looks really quite stunning (not sure about the naf beveled numbers, but anyway).

Were the numbers only on the countdown for the launch? Or have they been there for the TOTH each time?
