BBC Persian on 13E

BBC Persian has started tests on 13E, currently showing a testcard with BBC WS TC1 on it in 14:9 ratio, does anyone know when this channel will start and will it take the awesome graphics of BBC Arabic?

I take it it's just a static image. Could anyone get a screenshot of it? Someone gave me some cryptic clues and I worked out an extremely rough, rough date as October launch. News reports used to say that BBC Arabic would start in Autumn 07, when it started March 08. But as they are screentesting, I would guess that it is sooner than later.

hmm bars showing BBC TC1 aren't going to be ambiguous are they? Couldn't possibly be confused with the output of a certain big studio.

The BBC text flashes by the way, I am just hoping the BBC won't take too long in launching the channel, as it did take a long time with Arabic, but it was worth the wait.

Yes, BBC Persian will be coming from the largest studio in Television Centre.

Can anyone tell us the current status of TC1? It's quite surprising that they're giving such a big studio for BBC Persian.

Are there any other details that we know about BBC Persian? I'm really looking forward to the music. I wonder whether David Lowe's doing it?
