That's democracy.

Nah, according to brexiteers, democracy is shutting up, accepting the "will of the people", and not offering a single dissentive word.

Because we all know, from Farage's whining about "unfinished business" when he thought it was going to be a narrow remain vote, the leave side were going to shut up and quitely go away if they lost, right? UKIP would have packed up and gone home, Michael Gove and Ian Duncan Smith would have shut up, the Daily Mail, Sun and Express would never have moaned and whined about the EU ever again?

I guess we should never have any elections ever again, because the last on was the "will of the people", and any further elections are undemocratically going against that. To use brexit logic. In fact there should never have been any elections after the first ever one because the "will of the people" was decided there and then and clearly should have been set in stone for all eternity.

As if you need a crystal ball to see into the future to see the impact brexit is already having on the economy, how disruptive it's likely to be, how inept our government is at anything related to it, how they have no plan and idea what they're meant to be doing or what they want from the process, how our economy is clearly so intertwined with the EU and the single market that unravelling us from it will be VERY difficult and will cause a lot of damage, how many companies are planning on moving elsewhere, how many issues there are with the Irish border, the fact pretty much everything the leave campaign told us has turned out to be lies and god knows what else. You don't need to be a clairvoyant to see any of that, just raise your head above the pages of the Daily Mail and the ramblings of Nigel Farage and look at the facts. No I don't want to "wait and see" when pretty much all the signs show it's going to be a disaster. Stop it before it's too late to go back. It's not going to be any good to "wait and see" and find out it's the disaster we can clearly se it will be, by which time we're screwed, the damage is done and can't do anything about it.

Stop whining about "democracy" and "the will of the people", stop repeating soundbites, stop banging on about "remoaners" and look in the real world for christ's sake.

So far, Brexit has achieved dividing the country. To go from a staunch Remain area to some parts of the country where they're heavily leave has shown the complete divisions.

Don't get me wrong, I believe some leavers voted for what they think is right or have been disenfranchised by previous Labour and Tory governments, but it won't be Remain areas like London which will be heavily affected, it'll be those same areas that voted leave who will lose the most from people either believing the hype about the extra NHS funding or for simply xenophobic or racist means.

Then you have people like Rich Tea who thinks it should be a "national holiday" and we should have stamps to "celebrate" it, the sort of attitude which is just rubbing it in the faces of those of us who aren't happy about it and trying to force celebrations onto something that nearly half the people who voted didn't want is. just going to make divisions and resentment worse.

I'm sure the people who are going to lose money, jobs, houses over this are going to want to join in a national day of celebration and put stamps of red arrows flying out the EU on their letters... not. It's jingoistic crap.

Bitterness is a very extreme and destructive emotion to be feeling over the referendum result.

Considering the road to ruin

I think you mean Greece? What Euro bailout number are they on now?

Good job we didn't join that Euro currency thing after all!

Anyway, back to discussing TV Pres...

Oh yeah don't get me started on the £350 million NHS argument. Didn't a recent report come out saying that it would cost billions to fix all the UK's potholes alone? It's a drop in the ocean!

Never mind Brexit - this government can't even make a few trains run up here in the north!

Helloooooo. Brexiteer here. We’re not all racists, in fact I rather like the rest of Europe and love to go and visit it. I just don’t think that the EU works in our interest - I’d genuinely prefer an EU with the UK right at the heart, but as it stands we already seem to have zero influence and I can’t see that changing.

Oh, everyone who voted leave must be extremist hey? Sounds like some of the tripe put out by the remain side in the campaign.

Well you've posted some pretty extremist crap that sounds like it could have come from the pages of the Daily Express or the mouth of Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Still waiting for that punishment budget 'on just a vote to leave'.

It's easy to scoff at Greece, but God forbid what would happen if we ever needed a bailout? Who would be there to help us now?

And the Euro is a very good case in point. We successfully steered ourselves away from the Euro whilst remaining full decision-making members of the EU.
