Well as the title suggests BBC Parliament appears to have had some slight changes to its on-screen pres; Mainly in the form of changed font and a white backing to the large aston.

There's an interesting transition between captions now - a sort of flip over thing.

They seem to have dropped the MHEG captions on Freeview, though - they now just appear 'burnt-in' on the quarter-screen. And there's no 'LIVE' graphic either.

Methinks it might not just be a new style of graphics, but a new computer too...

Could the move of the straps on Freeview from the MHEG to the video screen possibly be due to it becoming full screen in the near future?

Hope you're right Keith. Might actually watch it if it were full screen.

I agree, it's very annoying having it in a small box in the top right. You can hardly see the bloody captions etc!

can't they just heavily compress it and stretch it ITV on Sky style?

Article at DS about Tony Blair wanting better coverage: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds21420.html

Also, I found it quite ironic today the issue of anti-social behaviour cropped up at PMQs - as MPs heckled each other and refused to allow others to express their opinion!

As for the full screen on Freeview - it's not a priority for me.

I see from my freeview EPG (not the most reliable of sources, I grant you) that 'Parly' will be showing a feed of a major french network this evening for exit polls and first indications of the referendum result.
Damm good idea if you ask me, even tho I'm probably not going to understand much with my poor GCSE french.

Thanks for the tip-off!

Been watching France 2's coverage on BBC Parly - far better than anything on the UK channels, although both Sky and N24 are doing a great job relatively speaking.

I knew that French degree would come in handy one day... Wink

PS - From watching the i-tele coverage online at itele.fr, they seem to have taken a few leaves out of the ITV news book of graphic design...

...on other platforms

Isn't it already full screen on 'other' platforms?
