Wow, it looks great! I love it when they turn BBC Parliament into a bizarre archive channel! Laughing

Excellent retrospective, spoilt by the 2007 trailer slammed in earlier.

Lots more of them as the evening has progressed, sadly.

In general, a very good evening's programming, though.

This has been an excellent evening's 'political entertainment'.

How come they never promote this sort of stuff?

Wouldn't have minded having a look at that!

Was it colour or black & white?

B&W Telerecording by the look of it (not even VT). Colour came to news and current affairs a little while after the BBC One colour launch.

We only ever seem to find out about these events after they have been broadcast. They really should do alot more to promote BBC Parliament (and I don't mean the usual trailers we get).

These niche channels do have a place. The BBC have a massive archive of programmes which wouldn't ever see the light of day again on any other channel.

The night of programmes was advertised on BBC One (slide + announcer)

The problem is that the new BBC ECPs irritate me so much I turn over as soon as the credits start. In that respect their constant trailers have back-fired.

bbc parliament was off air this morning. they had [what looked like] a dvd of the ident paused (complete with pause icon) overlaid with the retro looking apology text.

eventually somebody pressed play at 10.45ish
