Well there is the famous Dimbleby Mars Bar Incident to enjoy - sometime in the first hour or so IIRC.

First time the 1987 general election night programme has been repeated I think. Saying that, if the Dear Leader recalls Parliament for his anti-terror proposals, it may well be on 5 September, so this might not be shown at all (IIRC something simular happened a couple of years ago, they had already shown two election nights the previous two weeks, but couldn't show the planned third because Parliament was recalled).

Hopefully they will also be showing the 1992 one as well soon, where you thought you knew what might happen, but it didn't exactly turn out that way.

Would that be the same competent party that brought us sky-high interest rates, a devastating recession, Black Wednesday and the Poll Tax?

All true, granted not good things, but she changed the country, she privatised many industries, otherwise they would be still Nationalised today, which IMO would make Britain some what behind other countries around the world such as the USA.

Plus it was John Major's Government when Black Wednesday happened.

The 1979 Election is worth a watch if it's shown again, it also included the News bulletin before the programme.
