I really wish they'd show the 92 election again.
That, and Network 7, were some of the things that sparked my interest in pres.
The 92 studio was huge, had two levels and an unfeasibly large video wall. Magnificent stuff.

Loved that show.
My mate and I went down to watch it being made in 1988, I was that infatuated with it. Series 2 never quite hit the highs of Series 1 though.

When BBC Parliament shows this archive stuff why can't they use 701 or 702 on Freeview, so we don't have to suffer the quarter-screen window?

What was the name of the animated bit - kinda Inspector Gadget but funny?

Found out exactly when they are showing it now, as the "week" reference was a little vague, because in the past they have shown these repeats on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Election 97
Friday 13 May
9:00am - 11:10pm
BBC Parliament
A chance to relive the historic 1997 general election that swept Tony Blair to power. David Dimbleby presents the BBC's election coverage, featuring Peter Snow's computer battleground and swingometer and interviews by Jeremy Paxman.
EDIT - Ah sorry, did not see Londoner's sub-topic line. Anyway, bump for the topic for those who did not know about it, and the start and finish times.

I think they already have I'm afraid. They might come around again though some time.
It is a shame the way the BBC seems to forget BBC Parliament exists. I get the feeling they consider it something they're obliged to do, but don't really value, and so it gets next to no cross-promotion on other channels. Certainly something like a re-run of the 97 Election would surely get a few more viewers if they publicised it a bit more.

I hope they re-run Election 70 and 74.

From what I've been told, they plan to re-play Election 2005 very soon too. IIRC on Saturday 7th May.
