You are confusing patronising and dumbed down with friendly and relaxed. It's different that's all.

HAHAHAHAHA. I always thought the BBC News demographic was mythical, but you prove otherwise.

I like it, five have done them for years and I find them very imformative.
However, I think it should be just in the normal BBC News style, National background, music and just like the daytime updates.

Heres tonights update. No changes, except it featured a short clip of Blair, rather than being all vts on newswall.

Did the Japanese company pay for the advertisement at the end or was it just a favour?

Are you going to upload all 4 weeks worth? I think that if you can it would be a very good ting to do?

Rolling Eyes this make no sense.

I would say the tone has changed, more formal and less like one of Julians links on UTV. The intro and outro are better and the links between stories more professional. I wonder if the "and finally" story will last, guess they feel its needed to prevent the bulletin feeling too heavy. Great irony in the brief BBC Three ident!

I would like to see an outro along the lines of "Theres more on News 24, online or via the red button. Huw's here at Ten but next on One is some other show I will eventually be appearing in."

Yeah. better tonight. The referal to interactive made the whole concept slightly more valuable, although I certainly wouldn't say it WAS valuable. And that last piece was just an advert wasn't it. So you can get a gold face pack (or whatever it is)? Who the hell cares?!

One of the BBC primary goals is to provide unbiased, balanced reporting of news so that people can form their own opinions. The update last night was not balanced and NK offered her opinion. That's why it was patronising and dumbed down. It was made to appeal to idiots.

Would you expand on your point that the update was biased and not balanced?

She gave her opinion on the Paris Hilton story. There!

She did, but it doesn't make the bulletin biased.
